Day 1 Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades
Our excursion to the desert of Marrakech in Fes of 4 days begins in Marrakech at 8am to traverse the superb mountains of High Atlas through Tizi n’Tichka (alt 2260 m). We will stop enjoying impressive scenery and visit the Argan Oil Cooperative. After lunch in a local restaurant, we will have the afternoon to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ait Ben Haddou. We will go to Ouarzazate for dinner and accommodation in a traditional hotel.
Day 2 Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Jorf – Erfoud – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Desert)
After breakfast at the hotel, return to the valley to see the incredible rock formation “the toy monkeys” and the 18th century Kasbah of Ait Yul. Leaving the Dades valley towards Tinrghir and the Todra valley, you will see the panoramic views of the old Berber villages of mud overlooking the valley. Arriving at the Gorge, you will walk under the 300 m high red cliff, where many climbers come to enjoy their favorite sport. Continuing our journey to Erfoud and Rissani where we will have lunch and then we leave for the village of Merzouga, you will be greeted with a glass of mint tea before settling in your accommodation.
Day 3 Merzouga – Off-road – Nomadic Families – Former Berber Villages – Merzouga
After breakfast, we will explore the small villages around the dunes of Erg Chebbi such as (Hassi Labied, Merdani, Khamlia, M’fis) on our way to Kamlia, we expect to meet locals showing their foxes in the desert. You can also meet desert and mammal reptiles, in Khamlia, known as the Black village that were slaves from Sudan, you will be greeted with a cup of tea (Berber Whiskey) hospitable while enjoying their spiritual Gnawa music. On leaving Khamlia, our next stop is on the panoramic view of the golden dunes near the Algerian border, you can stop to picnic under the shade of a tree before continuing to visit a family Nomad who live Under the Berber tent and take care of Herd of cattle, goats and camels, you will be introduced to the members of the family and to know their way of life while enjoying a good cup of tea. After that, you will have the chance to visit the sites of black volcanic rocks. Continue to reach the panorama near Yasmina lake where you will be amazed by the dune scene in addition to the nearby lake (spring), then we will return to Merzouga, night in the hotel near the dunes.
Day 4 Merzouga – Nomads – Desert Oasis Safsaf – Sand Dunes Erg Chebbi – Merzouga
We will start this day around 08:00 in the morning crossing the black desert towards SafSaf Oasis, during the journey we will stop to admire the landscape and visit a Berber nomad family with whom we will share a traditional mint tea Under the comforting shade of a ” A Berber tent. We will continue to our destination, SafSaf Oasis. It’s a spectacular place. The palms and lakes between high and unpopulated hills appear wild, a lush vegetation, crossed by a stream of the same name (SafSaf) in which we can swim. In this paradisiacal environment, we will have lunch. Before sunset, we will leave SafSaf at the Oasis of Weerdmin, with its great contrasts of vegetation, rock and sand. We will stop to visit, then continue the dunes for the sunset before returning to Merzouga, night in the hotel near the dunes.
Day 5 Merzouga – Er rissani – Alnif – Nkob – Agdz – Ouarzazate
After breakfast and shower in our hotel, we begin our journey to Ouarzazate in the Berber villages of the Atlas Mountains (Alnif, agdz, Draa Valley), we arrive in Ouarzazate in the evening.

Day 6 Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
Leaving Ouarzazate in the morning after visiting school children, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains by the highest crossing of the Tizni Tichka road at 2260 m high offering impressive views of the valleys, mountains and many villages Berbers nearby and arriving in Marrakech in the evening.
